Kabir Jayanti (Kabir prakat diwas)

Kabir jayanti is celebrated in respect of Saint Kabir Das. Kabir jayanti ia also known as Kabir prakat diwas. Kabir panthis celebrate it on the jyeshtha purnima which is the month of May or June (according to Gregorian calendar). There was a quarrel among Hindu Muslims that they wanted to perform the last rites of their Guru Kabir Parmeshwar by their own way. After Kabir left his body in Maghar, fragrant flowers were found in his place, due to which the fierce battle of Hindu-Muslim was averted. They all cried from each other's chest as if the mother of a child dies. Kabir Parmeshwar showed this ability, which averted the civil war. But after Kabir Saheb left, only flowers were found under his sheet instead of his body. After that, people of both religions distributed half the flowers. If you want to know more...
